Finding your identity.. in Christ

You know what I recommend? 

Following God. 

I don't mean go to church every Sunday like you're clocking in for a job and then go about your business the rest of the week. 
I mean fall on your face, beg Him to take over your life, follow Him and obey.

I made that decision (reluctantly at first I must admit) around four years ago. God was pursuing me and I was so blind I couldn't even see it. I was riddled with anxiety and depression. My anger issues were out of control. My life was out of control, if I'm being honest. I was miserable inside and out. 

I gave my life to Christ and gradually, at just the right pace, the Light was brought back to my life. He has been slowly, but consistently molding me into this beautiful, messy, masterpiece that He has always had planned.

Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

I want you to know what it feels like as you find the person God truly created you to be. I am living in that moment currently and I can tell you there is nothing that compares to the peace and enthusiasm that comes with finding your true self and calling in Jesus Christ.

God wants all of this for you also. He loves you and has plans for your life. All you need to do is follow. Obey the Word and what He asks if you. Then you'll begin to find your true identity. Through Jesus Christ.
